The City of Salem is looking to fill the position of two full-time and one temporary part-time
public works laborer. It is preferable that applicants have a valid driver’s license. Applicants
must be willing to work in all weather conditions and be able to physically lift 50lbs. The
position pays $10 hourly, guaranteed 40-hour work week for full-time and 24-hour work week
for part-time with the possibility to move to full-time. The City of Salem offers full-time
employees retirement; fully paid family health insurance; and sick, vacation, and personal leave
after a probationary period. The successful applicant will be subject to a pre-employment drug
